Daily Preparedness Tip: Be Ready to Eat Anywhere

If you are always on the go, you owe it to yourself to have all of the things you need to be ready to eat anywhere, anytime.  All you need to be able to do this is have the following items in your EDC bag: your choice of food (packets of oatmeal, instant soup, instant coffee, etc), a long handled spork, your EDC pocket knife, and a leak-proof, insulated travel mug.  Hot water is either something you bring with you if you will be out in the wilderness or you can usually fill up your mug with hot water at any gas station/corner store.

  1. I keep a folded Capri Sun emptied drink envelope in my trucker's wallet, it holds approximately 10 oz. of liquid. I haven't used it to eat with yet, but I have been able to gain a cold glass of water at public drinking fountains and take it where I want. The bottoms fold open so (with some care) it can stand up on its own.

Bumble Bee tuna envelopes come with a folding spoon inside the top of the envelope, separate from the tuna. Pretty slick little outfit.
